I like the drums, but they sound like shit. No punch what so ever. The cutting out that part is nice, but if you do it exactly the same way each bar, it becomes boring.
Basslines: those need some more EQing, they don't sound warm and full.
I do feel the track gets repetitive in the second half, despite bringing in the extra synth.
I also feel like there are problems with the way you applied compression.

The drums would be badass with more punch. The cutting out effect is cool for a few bars but gets really annoying. Same with the bassline, it trips over itself and it's hard to keep focus on it. Seems like the phrasing is way off to, random changes. The sounds sound like presets. I think it needs a lot of work. Keeping things constant will help a lot.
Sweet. Personally, I like the cutting out... but I guess I'm not aiming at the general pop. Alot of mastering is needed, true. This is something I am not very clued up on. I agree 100% on the drums needing to have more punch.
Personally, I'm happy with how everything comes together, but just not the mastering... and need to upskill myself in that department somewhere along the road.
Thanks for the comments thus far, theyv'e been enlightening.

Track has some original ideas as far as the cutouts which is good, maybe turn the wet level down on these just a tad so that they are not so abrupt. Main drums come across as a sampled loop that's a little overused, layer it up more with your own. I think the arrangement of the track is very well done, stereo is nice. Not bad man, keep at it.
i love the change up in the beat at around the 1:20 mark- wish it lasts longer, maybe like 16 bars. the sounds in this track are quite unique, it all sounds good. im not sure im a fan of the intermittent silences on different instruments in the intro. also the build on the intro its bit of a wierd one maybe get some filters on things other than just the drums
Sweet. Thanks man. I actually have another slightly longer version focusing on the lighter beats for a lil longer. Honestly, I'm also not a fan of the intro.... haha.

read another review to this that said the drums sounded like shit.....that was a lie they seem to be perfectly mastered!!!! xD maybe alittle weird with the breaks but that just makes it very very original havnt heard anything with a vibe like this ever!!! great job, i would have to say with the drop outs the instrument b4 them should have a reverb a long one so the drums could carry on smoother to the next pattern, but man this is sweet, keep it up!!!
Although I know it's good to get highly critical reviews, getting comments like those from auroraflux and csel do boost my confidence somewhat. For that I'm grateful, thanks guys...

Some of the synths are a bit ordinary, those type of sounds have been used in DnB tracks for over 15yrs now. The drumz are alright, but can be cleaned up a bit. During the filtered bass segments there is way too much mids and not enough 30-60hz, the issue is noticable in the rest of the song. Cheers.
