EZ .be

I'm having some strange problem. When I'm making a track in FL Studio 10 ( Asio drivers) and export it to mp3 ( or change the audio settings to primairy sounddriver) the sub(bass) becomes much louder and overpowering. I'm guessing this has something to do with my laptops soundcard since I didn't have this problem on my previous laptop. Some help?

I don't know anything about FL, but try exporting it as a .wav and see if that sounds as clean as it should. Then convert it to MP3 using this software: http://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.html

Normally bumping to wave is something that is not handled by the soundcard, but by software. Which leads me to believe your normal playback may have not enough base due to bad settings on the soundcard, and you could be overcompensating when EQing your tracks inside FL

I tried exporting to .wav but the same problem occurs. In FL everything sounds fine; wave/mp3 all bassy, overcompressed and messy...

damn! all I can guess is that FL exports the sound, but not the EQ's efect upon it. If you get a simple loop up, with no EQ, and export it; does it sound just as it does in FL? that would mean the EQ's being ignored. otherwise, have you got a preferences tab? perhaps FL has a dedicated section where it has settings for the audio driver, which may be creating specific settings for your program. I.E. it could be attenuating FL's bass output, but only in the program itself. It's worth a try, right?
Lastly, what I would typically do is to search 'ASUS A72J bass problem music software' or something similar on the 'net. Perhaps others have encountered the same problem and fixed it.

Did you check if some plugin on the master has different settings for runtime and rendertime? I know e.g. Massive has this.
If your using Ozone you can enable the mode where FL tells Ozone that it is in render mode, something like this could cause your problem.

I think I had this problem once... I can't remember what I did, but I'm pretty sure I closed out of all my other programs, restarted my computer and everything worked out. There might have been a problem because I opened up a video which set my ASIO drivers on 48000khz...

If all else fails you can just re-install Windows oir get a new computer...

Yes. Actually, Mac makes everything by itself. Plus has installed mind-reader, so you don't even have to try.
