oh man.. your production is nice, good mastering good drums sounds etc, but i cant stand how fucked up and piercing this main sound in the drop is.. sorry for me it sounds like skrillex or chronos records and thats not the ones who show skill..
but ok for someone whos not as popular as that guys its a really good production.
bu i would use your skill for something better
keep it going

Respect your opinion but the main reason i managed to get it sounding the way it does is because this is one of the styles of dubstep i like. I've parted myself from the music politics and instead of producing styles others want to hear im producing styles i like hearing.
Im an old junglist myself and still love jungle. When it evolved into drum'n'bass i still liked it because of the new and refreshing ideas and loved the kind of sounds DJ Hazard etc was coming out with a few years later (Yes im a 'clownstepper') and this style was a little popular for a while but then went back underground, pushed there by the likes of sub-focus etc.
I like ALL of the above mentioned artists
Whether or not a track shows skill does not determine how hard i skank to it, but i do tend to skank harder to the new refreshing (or fucked up) sounds.
This is exactly the same thing that appears to be happenning to dubstep except i can foresee a whole army of american skrillex copycatters starting off a new genre of techno (or whatever most of his tracks are) and so the principal of how hard i skank is still in my mind determined not by skill but by how new and refreshing (or, again, fucked up) the sounds are.
This is why i'm trying to produce these kinds of sounds
(By the way i didnt copycat skrillex, i tried to copycat 'funtcase - 50 caliber' and then went a slightly different direction ;p)
Pretty dope. I've said before that dubstep isn't my thing so I can only comment on the production sounds really but it sounds pretty great. Everytime I thought it should changed it did which kept me interested. Great use of the vocal sample. The only things I don't like about it is the main synth but that's not cause i'm a huge dubstep fan. Ace tune overall.
The snare is gorgeous. I like the drum groove for sure! The main synth could be lower an octave and a bit more thick but I understand the choice. Nice glitchy edits and everything. Excellent mix and mastering. Could have some more percussion elements going on but its all good as it is (as you already released it)...

Not terribly original, but well made. Maybe work on the vocal a bit more to make it more understandable in the mix. Some EQing, noise reduction...
I did. Didnt really have a high quality sample to start with since it was not only ripped of youtube but the guy wasnt exactly using the mest mic either.

How about you give it a try, i've done the best of the 4 mixes done so far on that video but maybe i can start a competition going?
Good idea
I'll start by trying to get a better sound!

That guy you are talking about (link) is one big drama queen.
Remember that any type of music that gets popular has haters.
It was like that with Disco, it was so with House, Techno, and what not.
It's an attention whore
And now on topic. Your tune is really well done. Cheers!
