Please check out my new track 'Extreme Low Frequency' and post your comments here!

Pretty upbeat track, going for the 'commercial jump up' style. Started experimenting with new plugins and techniques

Come to a standstill on this track cos i know what i wanna do next but im stuggling to make it sound the way i want. Colab anyone?

If anyones interested youre going to need flstudio 9 and reason 5 (It's rewired)

Introduce a different bass sound.
The drums sound very thin.
The bassline sounds like it needs some work on the positioning of the individual hits.
Make sure to find a bassline that lasts 8 bars and the 8th bar should be an end bar (little vocal, drum fill, bass doing something different) and then mini re-drop.

This could be huge if you work on it some more.

Hey brozini! Thanks for the review. Groovy track. Digging that into vibe and the key signature. Get some more FX's in there to carry it along. Also automate that synth so it has a little bit more going on and maybe one octave lower. I think this has good potential for sure though.

Excuse me if im being rude but thats a very fustrating review battledrone...

Different bass sound?
Theres a few different ones maybe theyre too similar?

Drums are thin?
Stuggling to understand what you mean as i had trouble getting them to punch through the basses

Positioning of hits?
Not quite sure what you mean but if you mean quantised then they are, but one of the modulations on one of the basses is a enveloped filter, maybe thats what you're hearing. If thats the case then how do i make it sound right?

lasts 8 bars with an end bar?
It does and theres also different notes for the end of the 16 bars too!

Little confused. Maybe i need new speakers? Have done all the things that have been mentioned so far. Maybe they should be more prominent? Or im not understanding something.

The drums sound a little too far back in the mix and lacking higher frequencies.
Maybe over eq'ed? rolled off too much to try and "punch" them through?
The "positioning" is the modulation, needs to be tighter. Maybe if you recorded the automation it might be worth zooming in and tightening it up abit. On this kind of bass I personally would program it manually. having the automation channel directly below the bass so you can see each note.
That's what I think maybe battle was pointing out.
I like the vibe Big Grin
btw I would defo upgrade from fl9 to 10 Bigup

But WTF do I know? Happy

Yay, clownstep Tongue

Sounds quite well for what you're going for. Shouldn't it just kind of loop over and over for like 4 more minutes with minor changeups?

Yea. I have quite a long history of skanking while pillin off my tits to repetative beats which goes way back to the jungle/garage days...

I have to stand my ground here though...

You may call it clownstep but it was very popular once. You'd be suprised how much music is out there which does indeed loop over and over, most of which is still very popular.

You like creativity because you're a producer. If a track is repetative you shouldnt immediately label it as shit

btw, the term clownstep was a term used about 5 or 6 years ago mainly by people who listen to metally music like emos, moshers etc. not sure where you picked it up from but it was a term that was supposed to cover the whole dnb industry, which for some reason has now adapted to mean 'jump up dnb' over time as people like that became less closed minded and jumped onto the electronic music bandwagon, but nevertheless used by the same kind of people.

Certainly not, for some tracks, repetition is a big part of the draw, like Limewax - Bomb Smile

Seems liek the drums are way too low in the mix. I'm not really into commercial jump up so I'm not one to comment on structure or whatever but the sounds are all there. As far as I can tell it's pretty good. just needs some tweaking witht he drums.

My friends and I would refer to Twisted Individual style stuff as clown step. That whole goofy bassline. Like T-10 and whatnot(yes i know that's distorted minds but it exemplifies clown step.)

liked the intro but, like the others said, drums are thin, you gotta boost them, especially the kick..
but nice idea, would nearly dance to it if you would work on it!
and youre looking for colab.. i would give you a hand but thats not my style and i also never did a colab per internet.. dunno how that would work..

peace
