Counterstrike has played an instrumental role in putting South Africa on the world drum 'n bass map. Justin Scholtemeyer AKA Animal Chin and Eaton Crous AKA 500 Mills, have been active drum 'n bass DJ's on the club/rave circuit since the mid Nineties playing all over South Africa and recently England, Germany, Norway, Poland, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Switzerland and Slovakia.
Counterstrike has been producing drum 'n bass as a collective since 1998. "We work together because we are into the same type of sound... it does not matter if we did a track together or seperately... it still sounds like Counterstrike." Justin ads: "I did a 3 year diploma in sound engineering so I'm always responsible for the mixdown and mastering on any Counterstrike material.
Pressure/Questions on Canadian label Allied Recordings was their first 12" vinyl single to see the light. This lead to a string of successfull vinyl 12"s (over 20 to date) for various international labels. Watch out for the second 12" release on their own Algorythm Recordings, Counterstrike - Deathstar/Truth destributed worldwide by Nu-Urban Distribution, Counterstrike - Bodybag/Mutilation on Obscene,

Born in 1988 (!) he was weaned on hardcore vodka and babushka¹s in Russia and the Ukraine until the tender age of 11, where he then moved to the smoker¹s paradise that is Holland. A classically trained pianist, he began his decent into the griminess of drum and bass through listening to radio shows and breakbeat and ambient. Soon after his 11th birthday, he received some old equipment and began to mess about with atmospherics, and wrote a few symphonies (yes, symphonies - we're talking a young Mozart here!) and soon moved from old beaten up Roland's to getting his head around reason at age 15. From 15 to now has been all hard work, perspiration and ahelluva lot of inspiration!
Limewax's tunes are reminiscent of the dark sci fi landscapes of Technical Itch, the driving dark funk force of Dylan, like a hybrid love child - he is easily one of the most exciting artists to emerge from Europe this year, and without a doubt will remain so for the years ahead! With the soon to be released E.P. on Tech Itch Recordings, as well as tracks such as, The Lawra, Eye's of Evil (a personal fave with the gabba-esque, no-holds-barred attack in the middle of the tune), as well as the 'Slave to Life' and 'Life of Sin' remixes, not to mention all the collaborations with partner in slime SPL (!!)...Limewax may be young in age, but will rock the dance floor like a long established pro!! Mark my words, it is only the beginning...so watch this space!!!

I:GOR is part of the Kielce Terror Squad, djaying all over the world some breakbeats, breakcore, drum and bass and other broken stuff. Is a producer of breakcore, experimental hardcore and speedcore. Eye-D is a Dutch drum & bass DJ/producer from Goes, a small town in the south of the Netherlands. Eye-D released his first drum & bass record on Kultbox Records in 1998 and he has been one of the most successful producers from the Dutch scene ever since; with releases on seminal labels such as Ruff-Teck and Citrus and numerous collaborations with DJ Hidden, Black Sun Empire, Noisa, Counterstrike and Evol Intent. Eye-D's productions have resulted in many record releases on a variety of international labels and plenty of DJ performances across the globe. Eye-D's background in hardcore/gabber results in some unique flavoring in both his DJ sets and his tracks. Expect his sets and tracks to be hard-edged but still very effective on the dancefloor.
Eye-D started out as a hardcore producer in 1992 and didn't really get serious about DJ-work until 1996 when a promoter asked him to play a DJ set at an event in Amsterdam. Although he had done live PAs before, Eye-D initially wanted to stay away from spinning, but he was instantly hooked after his first set. Eye-D has since played at events across the globe in Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Luxemburg, Poland, Scotland and the United States.
