Hey folks and folkettes (if any).

I've got an ace sample, and there is a part of it I wish to loop, however when I try it with Edison, theres a damn "T T T T T T" whenever it loops.

Whats the best way to extend the sound through looping, without getting that damn clicking start?

(I tried the "declicking" thing in the FL sampler, however I didnt hear any difference)

Cheeers!

can you have an envelope line/curve to fade out each clip/event ever so slightly?
I use this basic technique a lot in presonus studio one and it works a treat.

zero cross check? or zoom in and find a smoother loop point. Some type of samples are never going to loop seamlessly. You can try what impact says and in some cases this is the ideal.
I'd move the start loop point slightly left if it clicks more move it right. You should be able to see a "click" in the wave by the shape, try scrolling in and out to see the change of the shape of the wave.

I tried doing that (with FL's in/out knobs in the sampler which has the same effect, but it didnt do it. :S

Do it in Edison. zoom right in on the loop points, highlight to the right and fade in on the 1st point, highlight left and fade out out on the second.

Tried this - I gave up though, as the result is not "fluid" enough.

give the sample to me, lemme have a look at it!
I do simple sample editing on audacity, its free and its good for waveforms.
Have you tried EQing, or looping it forward-backward?

Do you have DirectWave?

It has some wicked looping possibilities, try fiddling with it. Smile
