I'm gonna buy some small speakers that I can hook onto my mobile phone, probably computer speakers. Doesn't matter if the plug fits right in or if it's a red & white double cable because I saw that they have special extension plugs for that.
Had a pair for about 8 months and switch back and forth from my Tannoy's for mixdowns and they are pretty decent little monitors and go quite loud too!

I have those speakers, but they are somewhat lacking in the bass field but they are still nice for the price. But it is sad when my headphones cost more than my monitors.
Bought myself a Bose Companion 2 set.
They're sounding good.

Hey, I can't complain, they sound great. I own 5 headphones (3 Sennheisers & 2 that I got for free from HUMO) & 3 speaker sets, and of all the audio equipment I have this set produces the finest sound by far.
Worst is the Sennheiser HD 482 headset. Has 'powerful bass'. Total ripoff
I should have known when I read the box: 'Feel the bass. Rumble. Vibe.'

I did. They're too big for me.
I heard the Klipsch Groove PM20 are good, good bass; if I'm not mistaken they have a bass knob - which for me ain't good cuz I'm always gonna be twiddlin' it.
-EDIT- the volume knob and the bass knob are the same
Holding the volume knob down for 3 seconds accesses the bass level control (which is something you won't know unless you read the manual because there is no indication of there even being a bass control anywhere on the speaker).
The Klipsch website says the Groove PM20 pc-speakers are a discontinued product, but they have at least 1 at Dreamworks Bonheiden.
The website says the following about the volume slash bassknob thing:
quote:
The knob located on the front of the right satellite can be used to
adjust the system’s volume as well as the bass level of the PM20
system. When the system is “On” and the LED indicator is blue, the
knob can be used to adjust the volume of the PM20 system. To adjust
the bass level, press and hold the knob for three (3) seconds. The LED
indicator will flash blue. While the indicator is flashing blue, the knob
can be used to adjust the level of the bass relative to the treble.
I hope that doesn't mean that when you turn the bass up, the treble goes down. Must inform about that.
