if it were just for me, this thread'd be kicked into the atmosphere in no time
but since there's no actual verbal violence yet, i can only present you this
Surya, because you're such a motherfucking gay-ass clownsteppah:
just to let you know how fed up i am with these discussions about personal taste
you're all just like muslim converters ... "i'm gonna make you like this, !!"

And what exactly is the first prize?
Oh yeah, just so you know: my clownstep limit is something like 3 plates a night, after that I'm bored

isn't there a difference between wobble-wobble and clownstep?
I believe the very first real clownstep tune was body rock from andy c? it has something to do with the bassline, i can't put it in technical terms because I don't know shit about producing, but eazy tould me once that there are only a few real clownstep tunes...

not with the bassline, with the drums
when there's swingbeat in a track, ppl call it 'clownstep'. If you even dare to use a square waveform for a bassline, ppl call it clownstep... wtf is up with that?

clownstep is my favourite genre since it's the only genre whose name comes from the way you dance it.
it's actually the genuine genre called from the way the crowd feel it...
and DAMN THAT'S SO GOOD !!!

hey, i like a 'ready for this too', there are tracks that utterly suck too... but you're wrong on 'the crowd named it' thingy... Blame dylan for the name.
I think you got me all wrong. I'm just dissing the term 'clownstep'. It's so 'denigrerend'. The correct term is actually Nu Jump-up. that's all i'm saying

dunno but lately its a fashion to wank over dnb and all the subgenres, i like all styles!, people being selective over this and that, i think its more a form of'snobbisme' ; my style is better cause its not an easy produced tune wtf!!!

Well, I don't like all styles, some things simply don't get me going, tend to get boring after a (short) while or are just plain horrible to listen to. I listen to a lot more than DnB alone, and in every genre there are styles I like, and some I don't. I can't just say that I like all DnB, if I would do this, and be concequent in it I should like most of the music around, which I certainly don't. This hasn't much to with an easy production, however easy productions are simpler to copy&adapt or make a variation from, but by themselfes they are not "bad" tunes, they just become boring cause some specific elements are copied over and over again. From the moment you're able to pick out specific characteristics from a track which can (all) be found in other tracks too you have a genre or sub-genre, and like any genre, you like it or you don't. You may call it "snobbisme", I call it taste...
As said - I don't mind a couple of records like this in a set, but don't play the same thing for whole night...
