GETZ –MECHANISM
A master of the more minimal / halfstep style, Getz realises the importance of space in sound, and as such often does a lot with a little. Here on C4C Recordings Mechanism is no exception, building a subtly mechanical, hypnotic groove around sparse beats, a stark soundscape and subbass so low that without the right woofer you’ll miss out on what makes this tune work!
GETZ – SILENT GALAXY
Getz fills a lot more of that sonic space on Silent Galaxy, with a cosmic synth lead setting course for the stars. Though there’s not a lot of ‘traditional’ dnb percussion here, the strong sub and entangling bleepy melodies make sure you won’t miss it – drum & bass as we know it is evolving quickly, and if you listen to Getz, you can hear it happening before your very ears!
