Please check out my new track 'The Field' and post your comments here!
Hi guys.
I haven't posted anything in a while. Been busy working on uni stuff. Made this a little while ago. Let me know what you think as always.
It should be mixed ok. Used some different headphones so the bass might be a tad loud.
Cheers

It's good. The intro drags on a little bit and gets boring and the bass comes out of nowhere. The synrh that comes in around 5min sounds kinda casioish. Like the basson preset or something.

sweet melodies in the intro, has some kind of a movie-soundtrack-feeling in it
drums sound nice & clean, really like the vibe now. id maybe add (or turn up) some more breaks, hihats to the drums. on my system the bass could even have a little more volume. really nice track all in all, everything fits together, rspct.

Cheers for the replys.
The bassoon sounding thing probably is a bassoon. From a sampler not a synth. But yeah maybe the sounds don't go together so well. It was kind of an attempt at orchestral DnB. (ish)
And around 5 min....... the track is 4:56.
Thanks again.

1 word description, pleasant. For a laid back chilled liquid tune I'm feeling it, but it's not exciting me much. Superb variation, might be worth reducing the attack and decay on the sub envelope, give it some body with a tiny bit of distortion but apart from that this track is nice. Good job.

With the right mix/mastering this could be so much more than it is right now. It's raw diamond!

Tune has an early Pendulum vibe which works well. Some sounds though are coming across a little bit too timid. I would try using a gate on individual instruments just to slightly define elements more. I really like the strings you have used at around 3:45. Reminded me of a cross between Gangs of New York U2 tune (The hands that built America?) and something out of The Last of the Mohicans. Gave me goosepimples lol.
Found myself liking the tune more and more as I listened to it.
Love the melody work. Keep at it.
