JumplnTheFire - Dark Anthem (for Lack Of A Better Name, At The Moment :p) |
|
Please check out my new track 'Jumpinthefire - Dark Anthem (for Lack Of A Better Name, At The Moment :p)' and post your comments here!
Hey guys and gals. I'd still consider myself a noob when it comes to producing so maximum critique is encouraged. Here's a... well... Dark Anthem for you guys to review! Goes from breaks to drum and bass to drumstep and back!
This is considered my second actual song.
Thanks in advance!

Special, love the oldskool vibe, maybe some more tension on the drums needed the bassy sound around 2 isnt my cup of tea, would change the fx on that one

It's good. I would add some phase or flange to the bass to give it more movement. Kind of repeatitive though. And it just changed as i wrote that. Not sure if that grungey synth fits well with the bass.

Intro drags a bit but like the synth, Nice Amen loop too. Mixdown needs revisiting the bass is far too overpowering. The secondary bassline you bring in around 1:50 is too blatant, it needs to blend a bit more? Keep it up man, sounds like you've got a decent base to work from.If you get the levels right and some decent mastering the second drop could be dangerous!! Need more hats or rides or something. Check my tracks out man I'd appreciate your feedback too!
