Please check out my new track 'Flipper' and post your comments here!!!

Hey dudes,
Its been a while since i posted a track, so here is my lates one. However its not finished. On top of that, I have hit a brick wall with this one in terms of rendering!

As i have said before, i use headphones to produce, as i cant afford decent speakers at the mo. Two things i have probs with:

1. Sub Bass
Cant tell how loud it will sound on normal speakers, of course this prob is minor, since i can just adjust the volume. So would be useful if you tell me how loud it is.

2. Totally Shit Problem!
I have never had this happen like this before...
When you play the track you will hear that much of the top end is missing! This is not entirely my fault though! Every time i render the song as MP3 this happens, for some reason WAV is fine. I spent all day yesterday trying to identify the prob but no luck. I think it might be something to do with the output volume - but thats a long shot...

I have used FLStudio 4 for a while and have never had this problem before, so if someone can please shed some light on this i would be very greatful!

Thanks

If the wav is fine, then use a different mp3 encoder (preferably LAME, read more here)
Really weird how your soundquality suddenly changed (for the better)

Cool track. Your drums have the power, the lead does the trick
Sub could use a slight boost, not much.
You have some kicks here and there which are way louder than the rest, fix that.

3/5

Thanks for the advice. I am quite busy at the mo, but might work on it at the weekend.... Bigup

P.S. Whats the deal with posting WAV's on the listen page? Is it acceptable?

No. They are too big, and I don't think the upload script will allow them anyway...

Check your settings when you export audio, if the top end is missing you are probably exporting to 30kHz instead of 44.1kHz.

It's always a better idea to export to wav and use an external mp3 encoder such as lame.

Wav uploads are not permitted Wink
