Hey, do you guys have tipps on how to make jump up basses/ basslines in Reason or in general?

I mean basses like this:

The only tip i can give you is play around with all the dials and nobs in thor, sub tractor and malstrom its not easy and takes a long time to anything that sounds good but try that to start then try adding distortion units ect.

You will have to work for it as original sin and such like didn't just get the sound handed to them. Sorry if this comes across in any other manner than being helpful but copying other peoples sounds to the t isn't cool and all to many people are doing this from watching how to vids on youtube. be yourself and find your own sound is my best advise. yeah read up music theory and how to guides without vids but everthing else you think will help you but will only make you a sheep doing the same as them. If you like the sounds your making no doubt someone else will so keep at it and i look forward to hearing some of your music.

That sounded harsh. Learning how other people made their sounds is a great way to analyze and figure out how synthesis works. Jump up style bass is usually an array of detuned square and saw waves heavily distorted.
