Just wondering if anyone uses midi files at all?

I have downloaded some midi files from various metal bands, more the heavier stuff, not gonna say who though Wink and have been having a little play with them. Some of them have had quite nice results.

If you are bad at replicating melodies and want to make a non-sampled remix you could use the midi file, otherwise midi files are pretty much DUH!
(in my opinion)

ive used midi files for my own fun before, as i wanted to make a funny remix of mario etc.
never did something serious with them tho.
but i guess its pretty handy, but i mostly use samples for remixes.
