hmmm where to start drums sound very muffled , for a decent start try and get yourself some really good drum/break samples .
that bass really sounds like it is covering all the main drum loop try to read about equalizing drums and sub bass for a less muffled effect.
that synth that is randomly stabbing in really doesn't work try and make a melody that flows with that synth (if u can , no offense but it's quite a harsh noise and isn't to pleasant on my ears )
quite like the piano riff that comes in towards end could do with being put into a better context though would work a lot better will a nice rollin beat.
hope you don't think i'm being harsh but we all have to go through it at the start and you will learn fast even though it seems like people are being harsh it's for the good, get some sort of beat slicer and play a good song for me starts with a solid pumpin rollin beat .....keep em comin
haha, no worries. im not too sensitive, infact, im enjoying the xperience, of getting outsider opinions for the first time. I totally see what your saying.
actually, I do mainly trance/hardpsy, but I havnt been able to find a similar community support site in that genre yet. thanx allot 4 the advise, its been noted as usefull.
Cut down on the reverb, avoid piano's...
Focus on drums and bass only when you are trying to get the grip of this.
Keep at it, Rome wasn't built in a day. My first tries to make music were far worse than this but that was 20 years ago :-)

The drums could be louder in the mix and could do with more compression imo, they are a bit at the back of the mix, and definately less reverb!
(i see where the trance is coming in with the trancy keys at 1.00!)
try having a mess round with that main bass synth, it isnt the friendliest to my ears! mess around with some unison and chorus effects, and some distortion!
drums need a lot of work, kick&snare need more punch, also need some breaks, hats&stuff. same thing with melodies, keep on it mate and it will improve fast!
Glad you are not sensitive, the drumz can use some heavy work. Download some samples right here: http://www.drumnbass.be/downloads.html
Try some of the Battledrone breaks and chop them up into tiny pieces. Don't be afraid to look closely at each segment and move them around. Also get some of the Half-price snares to mess around with and layer on top of breaks. Laterz.
