This is a hiphop beat I made for a friend to rap over. It's pretty heavy, and could almost be halfstep dnb, but i slowed down the tempo some more to make it more hiphopish. Anyway, I made almost every single sound from scratch / processed the life out of samples. No stock sounds here. Let me know what you think. When the beat dropped I definitely knew that you're on to something. The hard drum sounds and melody goes together very well. There wasn't too much in the way of complex melody changes but it doesn't need it. I can imagine what the version with the vocals on it sounds like. The drums are maybe a bit hard? Gets a bit repetative after a while, but if you're going to have rapping on it that wont be an issue.
