I starting to get back into DnB and I realize I can make drums and basses but now I realize special soundscapes and effects really do make up the song as well because it gives it the vibe. I realize that I don't know to create these sounds at all, or too lazy to sample them, and if I do it does not fit with the track I am making at all. Anyone have any tips?

I mean any tips on making sci fi-ish backgrounds. Kinda like in the old dnb tunes.

er, turn some knobs/faders/explore some presets then tweak those/ and keep going til you hear the sounds you want?

its not (exact) rocket science..


also a lot ofthe old tunes just blatantly sample sci-fi films..
