this is more of a question about listening to music than it is about production, but does anyone know any good tape recorders? I'm looking for something that I can plug the 'audio out' of my PC into and record, without need of a microphone; so the sound is recorded in the best possible way.
Now that I think of it, this would also probably be quite a good way to get beats sounding nice. Record and sample.
I've already got a brick, er, vintage Walkman to play out tapes, so I don't need to worry about playback. Thanks for reading this, I look forward to your responses ..

Yamaha have won awards for their tape decks in the past. Check out ebay. There are a few for sale.

If you want the sound recorded in the best possible way, I doubt you are gonna get that with a yamaha tape deck....why not just export to an mp3 player?

ha ha I meant recorded in the best possible way FOR a tape deck! I used to put stuff onto my iPod, but that broke. I've got a Walkman and I want to be able to make tapes for it... I can also, for example, record something to tape and compare it to an MP3 version; to see how the sound changes etc
