Hi all
Ive been using the sidechain compressor from db audioware for all my ducking in Cubase. but I just saw the Dom kane interview on CM mag159, he uses Live and he has a channel that is ducked by a muted kick. I want to do the same.
I cant work out how to do it with the kit I've got, (mute the kick and the compressor stops ducking)
I love Cubase and dont want to have 2 use live just 4 this. Do I need a different compressor? if so which1?
or am I missing something?

anywho cheerz

You don’t need a different compressor. You can just use a pre fader aux send for sidechain.
Or route the kick that feeds the compressor to “no bus”. This way you can mute the kick or lower it in volume and the compressor will still be triggered.
