I want to do the same. I cant work out how to do it with the kit I've got, (mute the kick and the compressor stops ducking) I love Cubase and dont want to have 2 use live just 4 this. You can just use a pre fader aux send for sidechain. Or route the kick that feeds the compressor to “no bus”.
