During the years Modulate Recordings has moved from strength to strength and now she picks up the pace with another piece of Italian DnB history.
This double A sided 12" showcases the work of our most acclaimed Rome based producers Aeph, Dabs and Maztek.
MadBox is a blend of razor sharp beats, rumbling synths and 80s retro arpeggios with an amazing dubstep breakdown that will simply blow the dancefloor off.
Floating is a relentless techy tune made with Maztek's unmistakable style and top-notch quality, showcased on State Of Mind's "Next Level" podcast 001.
All in all, this double single is awesome and these guys are a force to be reckoned with.. Check it!

AEPH [Close2Death/Modulate/Flight/Subsonik Sound/Bad Taste]
Simone Vallecorsa aka Aeph was introduced to Drum and Bass when he was a teenager back in Rome. At the age of 16, inspired by people like Bad Company, Dillinja, Ltj Bukem and new wave acts like Pendulum, Sub Focus, Noisia and Spor, Simone was compelled to make his own music. Now ten years down the line Aeph lives and works out of London and has released on a number of DnB's most cutting edge labels. The "Aeph" sound is a mixture of early musical influences such as Daft Punk and Prodigy, ultra modern riffs, and great versatility. Combined with a finesse that rivals his role models. DABS [Dispatch/Project 51/Citrus/Disturbed/Modulate]
First releases on Basswerk in 2006-07, winner of the prestigious italian contest Elettrowave Challenge 2008 as "best dnb italian dj-producer", his tune "Stare Forward" has been remixed by N.Phect (Renegade Hardware, Subtitles) for the italian label Modulate. Straight after he signed "Slick Down" on Mayhem's label Aesthetics, based in Atlanta (US), and "Crawler / Weirdraws" on the notorious dutch label Citrus, receiving massive dj support all around the world. For 2010 are forthcoming many releases on labels like Cyanide, Full Force, Disturbed, Sinuous to name a few. Among them some collabo's and remixes with the likes of Bulletproof, Mayhem, Cern, Muffler, Future Signal and more to come.

MAZTEK [Subculture/Scripture/Icarus Audio/Close2Death/Trust In Music/Basswerk/Vampire/Sudden Def/Modulate]
Matteo Cavo aka Maztek began his musical career very early playing (in bands) as a lead guitarist and percussionist. At the age of 18 years he discovered his passion for electronic music, particularly techno and drum and bass, and began to produce tracks and play out in the Italian underground scene. In 2005 Maztek established the label “Subculture Records”, that caught attention internationally as a vinyl and digital label. His productions get released labels like the Modulate and Transistor Technology from Italy. Internationally he has much appreciated releases out on Basswerk, Trust in music, Close 2 Death, and some forthcoming releases on Vampire, Sudden deff, Icarus audio, Scripture and Subculture as well.
Maztek currently has several partnerships with producers frim around the world, we see the most relevant with Optiv Couse 4 Concern, Future Signal and Sleeper Cell England, Malsum Spain, Proktah from Germany, and Billain No money from the czech republic but also with the Italians Dabs and Aeph and Brazilian BTK (Renegade hardware).
His latest productions have been recenzie on major British and international magazines specialized in the industry as Knowledge Magazine for which he has released an exclusive interview and mix IDJ and DJ Mag.
Thanks to his talent as a DJ and performer he has already played in the great capitals of electronic music such as Berlin, Budapest, Cologne, Rome and around Italy but he have also many requests from London and from around the globe.
He has performed on stage with Dillinja, Adam F, Congo Natty, Black Sun Empire, Fierce, N.Phect.e many many more
The sound of Maztek is supported by DJs such as Ed Rush and Optical, Optiv, C4C, Axiom, Prolix, Btk, Cern, Masheen, Matrix and many others.
