Please check out my new track 'Painted Sky - Seba (sweepa Rmx) (dubstep)' and post your comments here!
this will be my entry for the Seba remix competition (and yes i changed my name to Sweepa)
need some advice on this tune please.
tell me what you think, and what i shud improve etc.
hope you like it!
(and btw the samples are given by seba himself so no copyright on it in such a way that people will say it has to me removed from site etc)
Main bass is too dirty for seba stuff, and that vowel bass is off limits for seba as well.
It's just a layer of dirt underneath the sweet atmospheres and pads. And it is too mainstream dubstep to make a difference in a competition. Go for a more original warm bass sound.

Hey Age Break / Sweepa, Spectral here. Tune sounds good. Am not really a dubstep producer, so I don't really know what to suggest from a production point of view. From a dnb point of view, its always nice to hear really fat and punchy drums. All the best, Spectral
Has lots of NERO feeling to it especially your kick. But the bassound around 1 10, is to heavy for this track, i think, too gritty,i would soften it up, but good mix man.
Realy nice sound youve got.
intro is Niiiiice! Lovely use of stereo field.. subtle vox are really nice too.
Kick and snare are great.
Strings @ 0:50 are very nice
Wow that bass is a monsta!
Have to agree with previous comment: about the bass being good- but- a little out of context with the soothing pads and vocal..
breakdoww@ 02:00 is very 'spatial' I like!
The build at 2:45 is very much Nero'esque..
I would experiment with taking the bass you have and leaving the midi info as is but try another bass in massive that is more in tune with the seba samples?
Even if it doesnt work out you still have a quality finished product.
If anything around 3:40> where the tune comes back in over the bass I think you could actually turn the bass down a little to help gel it all together
thanks for the review and tips there impact, will try that last thing for sure, not sure if i wanna change the bass on this one, as i really like it.
but i can alway try and keep the monsta bass for me and me alone
yeh nice track mate, love the atmos youve created with the synth work, would love to hear some reverb tails on your snare now and then, but dope track man!
i missed this somehow when it was posted, good remix mate. not a huge dubstep fan to be honest so not all those bass sounds sit with me perfectly well but i like what youve done with the track. good to hear it remixed in a completely different genre, alot of the remixes ive heard have been dnb, an a few jungle ones (which is what i did). heard some pretty good ones to be fair!
