Please check out my new track 'Vioro' and post your comments here!

Work in progress... I haven't uploaded in a very long time. Old school sound. Glitchcore/breakcore. Cheers.

First impressions are that the tune has a good 'sinister' vibe and feel to it. I would further compress the string sections together to take some more dynamic range out of them as currently different samples are popping out over each other. Maybe add some 'air' to the strings around 10-12khz, but bring their overall level down maybe 1-2db (or more). Understand it's a work in progress. Looking forward to hearing what you do with it. All the best, Pace.

Drums could be more upfront.
Like the atmosphere, not into glitch and the likes. Can appreciate this one though.
Would have loved some phat bass hits here and there, but I suppose that you didn't want that to happen?

Nice edit,
I would prefer an more snappy snare sound, drums can be snappier think, but nice atmozz, has a special vibe i like.

Thanks for the responses, its been almost over 8 months since I last posted a song I believe... been quite a while. Love that you guys got back to me so quick! Great community up on here. Anyways, I was aiming for a bit of an old school jungle sort of sound but with a twist of glitch and decided to roll with it. I was definitely looking use more bass though, but I couldn't really find a sound that went too well with the song. I experimented with a few different reese basses but they aren't really my forte and didn't sound as nicely as I hoped they would. Speaking of which, anybody have a link to a good reese tutorial? Oh and I'm definitely going to be layering some more snares over my current beat, want to go for that harder sound, but still keep it older sounding.

typing as im listening.

feeling the orchestral intro Big Grin Cant think where you got that idea.. Wink

Like the dirty distorted strings.. reminds me of call and response by source direct (in a good way!)

some interesting ideas.. just need to work on your mixdown and panning on some of the channels.

Let me sum up my thoughts as briefly as possible...

Egyptian-esque March. XD

I didn't enjoy it too much, sorry. I guess it just isn't my style. The intro was pretty cool, but after about 00:27, I felt a little disappointed. That weird... flute/string/high pitched sounding thing didn't really feel like it fit in with the track, in my opinion. The beats are okay, but become pretty repetitive over time.

It needs some work. My advice is to take out that high pitched instrument and to add more variation to the beats. At the moment it's a little repetitive.

Edit: Grammar fixes. 4 of them. Tongue
