Anybody wants to add some comments/ideas/... to the new Dom & Roland "Chronology"-album? It's out for a week now.
I just happen to love it. After all these years, still so raw, complex, dominating and yes, a bit TeeBee-like.
Not liking this one is considered a serious act of hereticism!!!

really liking it! specially I 4 an I, c side is also good, the karl k etc remix is fairly ok, haven't checked the other ones really
but than again, me liking 3 songs on an lp is pretty much
only downside; basslines are exactly the same as the ones used by j-majik and wickamen lately...and not always a fan of that sound

Dom & Roland for president. 'Ethnicity', 'Moulin Rouge' (Dieselboy, Kaos & Karl K-remix), Break Out,
'Paradrenasite'..... Beestig!!!
Lots of issues concerning the fact whether drumnbass is still alive and/or dying a silent death... (again). For fuck's sake: there is, and always will be good material being released, but since the times always keep on changing, you just can't maintain walking in the same direction. You have to search... Dunno why exactly i'm telling this (i should start a thread on the ethical/philosphical and socio-cultural meanings aspects on drum'n'bass...
No kiddin', that would really be fun...
) but in any case, this album rocks!!
Their musicality has always been a sort of guideline throughout their whole history/discography. Raw and uncompelling, i just know that these guys just don't give a fuck about how drumnbass is supposed to look like.
Give it a listen... I'm sure you're gonna like it. I checked on the usual online-dnb sites, but it's hard to find some downloadable audio. But my guess is, that now i that i convinced you all (ahum..) of the supremacy over drumnbass by Dom & Roland, you'll succeed in finding some useful audio-links.....

Got it now too. Great album again, but not as groundbreaking as the stuff he did a few years ago.

Yeah, but still....
There's something special about it. Noticed it within the first 3 minutes. Dunno exactly what it is. Guess i'm just happy hearing some fine dnb again. Don't understand me wrong, but sometimes i get so fed up with all those remixes/12's/ep's... Too much too handle. I think a great deal of the craftmenship (or how do you call it) becomes apparent in full-albums. If a complete album remains interesting, then you're dealing with an exception.

I also have the opinion this album isn't as groundbreaking as the predecessors.
But mister Dominic Angus really knows how to make DnB, like his style!
The first DnB-album I bought was 'Industry' from Dom & Roland and since then DnB never let me go
