Hey everyone, I'm new to these forums. I just fixed up a new tune of mine, and the bassline is driving me wild. It's pretty wicked, take a listen. http://deadeyedj.iuma.com it's called "The Morning After (v2)"
Looking forward to your responses,

Nice bassline, but it strangely reminds me of some other tune... not shure which one...
Ne way, I think the bassline is a bit too loud... or the break isn't loud enough, not shure...
Don't really like the snare, sounds too 909-ish (I know it isn't 909).
Kinda short track isn't it? Planning on making it longer?
Not bad, but still needs some work

Nice chord scheme for starters, noticed it immediately when the song started, thanks to the strings and bell sound
The resonant synth bass melody is great too, and it's nice how you vary the decay time around 1:41.
The basic break (kick & snare) is a bit standard, and the snare sound is maybe too 'happy' for this track - try a darker, deeper snare, or filter the top off the snare...
You do some variation on the drums near the end, but in the beginning you could do that too!
When the song reaches 3/4 it's a bit empty (after the second voice sample has stopped around 2:00) - here you could put in a new element, the hihats start changing now but I feel it's not enough.
I love the way the break seems to 'hold its breath' at 3:00 by skipping a hihat hit, that's well done
Could you make a hardstep remix of it please
that would be great
and a bit longer too...
