Hey, new to cubase here. I have searched everywhere but i cant find an answer to my problem.
All im trying to do is import samples (small wav files of kicks, snares etc) and put them into their own tracks and make the beat with the key editor/piano roll. But so far its been impossible. I can import it as "audio track" but then the Key Editor is disabled for no reason. When i double click it the sample editor opens, not the Key editor, why?
Thanks

You have to load your samples into a sampler..then you will be able to trigger them through the piano roll and make your beat

Thanks, can you explain how you do that step-by-step? I tried using HalionOne but my samples doesnt show up when i click "load preset". I loaded them all with the MediaBay, even catagorized them and everything, but they still dont show up.
Maybe im just really blind or retarded lol
EDIT: Oh wow, i had selected the wrong VST. Guess that wasnt the Sampler one. Any free sampler vsts out there? im not made of money
