Trying to nail down one of the last aspects of jungle i feel i've got left to conquer. LOL Wink

I'm working on that classic kinda hollow sounding wobble sub. To me it sounds like a typical wobble but maybe with some reverb? I can't quite tell. Its got a bit more high-end, which frankly confuses me! Confused I've tweaked my normal sub by adding reverb & a bit more detuned flanger w/out the panning, but reverb is a tricky thing to play with. I'm starting to wonder if i need reverb at all. Any thoughts would be helpful. Or if someone knows of a sample that'd work too. Big Grin

Here are some examples if "hollow wobble sub" doesn't make sense. The first one is a bad tune IMO but the bass is exactly what i'm talkin about. Listen @ 2:00 in.

This is also similar...

and how the hell do i embed youtube vids? Confused

I'm sure that you've heard the bass out of Renegade - Terrorist??
Well, you can try to recreate it by getting 2 sines with low octaves, and then detune the sine wave waves, e.g. set one to -25 and the other to 25. The amount of detuning will affect the 'pulses' that you hear - I think these may be due to phase cancellation (I'll explain that if you want). Amyway, you should also try applying an LFO to the amplitude too.
Then perhaps layer that with more detuned sine waves, or some low-passed square waves. ....
