With such a title I expected a "not so good tune" but you did well. I would love to hear some heavy bass elements in a full version.

In the drop things get really messy because too many things are being played too loud and it seems like there's quite a lot of compression going on in there, it kinda flattens the whole thing in a bad way. At some point there's just that little bit of space and you hear the whole tune come to life again for a short moment.

I really like your melody, but your drums are too silent in the mix, and need some more work. Your snare, doesn't have enough punch.
Very cool ideas in this track. I definitely hear the Nintendo Madness Tongue

Thanks man, I know it sound dumb but the reason i posted it before i finished it because i need ideas like this... The snares is def going to be more prominent in the final version.. going to also use less compression in the final and let the tune breath more from the break.. thanks for the advise !

Cheers

Hah very quirky track indeed,
Interesting buildup as i think mario will be pleased lol
Although not my cuppa tea, the broad bass sounds really warm and solid,
Although the intro break doesnt really have much room to play around with maybe a little more headroom or just dip the kick and snare eq's in your bass sounds,
Your main kick would definately feel more content being sidechained (if possible) with the sub to give it more room
Near the end of the track however it sounds like the whole thing is clipping or nothing his been given its own freq range
Overall a good quirky meaty track with potential, just a few minor issues with headroom =]

Cool ideas, just work on layering your drums, eqing, putting sounds in there respective frequencies so you can hear the different elements... keep coming up with cool ideas while teaching yourself one aspect of producing at a time, so for every cool technique you learn make a track featuring it and combine the ones youve learned prior, balance yourself out, then grow Big Grin

Interesting... I like the happy sound with it. And it truly sounds like it would be in a Mario game. The drum is perfectly timed, though the snare later needs to be turned down a little. The synthesizers are all great, and sound of the era. I think the low tuned bass is good and I like how it blends in with the lower pitched synthesizer. The speed is perfect. There is nothing more to say other than, how did you make this song so perfect? You said some work? I'd say little work, great job and I hope to see more tunes from you!

Mixdown can use a little work still. After the bass drops the snare is smothered, maybe add a high layer after the drop. Fune tune. Z
