does that mean the 1st one is going to cost less on 2nd hand market ? and might be affordable by a student like me ?

I don't know, but hope so 
Anyway the student version of the Modular is called the Micro Modular, it's around 600 euro new, so second-hand should be around 300...

We have a Nord Lead at home, and i was in love with it from the moment it entered ...
Never used the modular 1, but as it ressembles to the rest of their products i can imagine what powah it must have ...
