i agree that is a good chord progression / melody. dig the drums in the intro. Was expecting more of a drop, but for the minimal vibe what you have works pretty good. bass is a good start, but could use some variation - maybe some filter automation? Becomes a bit repetitive w/ out a breakdown / second drop. overall, interesting tune. keep workin it.
So first is this track is quite long!
Okay so im half-way through the track already an my first opinion is the drums havent changed in pattern or sample,
Unfortunately not feeling the melody as it dosent seem very inspiring very mediocre,
I would suggest more bass hits but at shorter timescales just to give a little pizzazz,
Also the track didnt feel like it even had a drop
Overall im afraid this is a no no from me,
Nothing new or appealing, some layering and alternations wouldnt go amiss =]
The tune overall has a very good flow to it, The bassline that kicks in at the 50 second marks sits nicely into the track, however the change at 1:30 is somewhat unoriginal and is very repetitive. I think a couple of amen breaks in the middle would be a good idea. The melody line at the 2:50 marks is good but not inspiring. I know the whole idea is to create a liquid tune but try and use more breaks and drum variations to give it more character. Another good idea is to bring the bassline more in by maybe automating the bassline with different volume control. The bass sample that you use also works in the beginning but becomes boring after a while. To summarise, good tune but needs more creativity with certain elements. Trying using a different synth or drop the octaves. In reason 4 there is the appergiator which can be used nicely with not much effort to change the melody using automation. Hope this was helpful... keep up the good work M8
