heyyo, I was wondering where I could get some good old classic breakbeats from? Y'know the ones... I've already got the Amen (of course!), but I want to get the rest of the breakbeats; ones they used in breakbeat hardcore... I used a site called junglebreaks, which was decent; but the files weren't the best quality.
Thanx!

That's because that site has the breaks in the form that they'd come off the original vinyls.

You need to work them to get them to sound nice

cheers for that! Although I don't know why you gave me all of those videos.
Anywayz, I'll stick to the junglebreaks; but just add a bit of high eq to bring out the tone, and then EQ out different bits for getting the snares, kicks etc out. It's a bit of a pain in the ass when the hi-hats get in the way of a clean sample, or when the sample sounds unnaturally gated, because of having to cut it out with a short length... I don't know how well this works, but I've tried adding a bit of reverb/noise to the end of an unnaturally gated drum hit, and then fading out that bit I've added on. booyyayyyahh

the breaks on that site are pretty good, but you will need to clean them up, slice then get a metronome on them like most jungle breaks. there loads more out and about there on the net, nearly all of them will need cleaning up though.
