GamorahSound (Wasp, Panzar, Sprout) ::
The idea of forming a drum and bass collective emerged at the end of 1999. At the beginning it took some time before it found its way and came to the form like it is now. It was when Panzar met Wasp and started -ing and making some beats together that the first steps where taken into the direction where gamorahsound now is. About two years later they hooked up with their youngest member, called Sprout, and formed the crew they are now. Things have gotten quite different since then, stages got bigger, sound systems got meaner and halls got more crowded.
GS are not just a team of 's, it's a group of people who are passionate about drum & bass and are uplifting the whole Belgian drum & bass movement. Their -sets are usually long back to back sessions where every gets to play three tunes and then passes the decks to his fellow crew mate. This gives them the chance to vary their styles and, where needed, complement each other to set maximal pressure on the crowd.
They put in the same amount of effort in every set for any event, small or big& They like to play!

Next up in our featured artist interview is a man well known for bringing the harder styles of drum and bass to the fore in his DJ sets. His awesome track alongside Q Bit "Public Disorder" on Drop On Request Recordings has received high praise from all corners of the globe, and any one who has heard Redaiz in the mix can confirm that he is one to watch in the Belgian scene at the moment
Redaiz started deejaying hip hop in 1997 but after borrowing a pile of drum & bass records from his close friend Leno a year later he caught the drum & bass virus. He started to sharpen up his skills and looking for his own style of mixing. He soon started to play out at local youthclubs and partys, rocking the dancefloors with his hard beats.
Some time later he and his friends decided to form the Crooked Cru and trow some mad free partys with some of the best djs from Belgium, Holland & even some UK guests. Those partys recieved major feedback, both in - and outside the country! Those partys were a big help for him & his cru, and more bookings came in quickly.
At the end of 2002 he made a guestappearance on Switch - Studio Brussel (discover the dj) By now he has played all across Belgium (longside the likes of Baron, Friction, Counterstrike) Holland ( Red Zone) and even a headline set in Aberdeen - Scotland! He also has his own internet radio show on www.jungletrain.net every thursday from 7pm till 8 pm called "The Twilight Zone".
Redaiz likes to create a new sound with 2 tunes, so u can expect some fast, long & creative mixes. Although he's more comfortable in the dark & techy corners of drum & bass, he can surprise you with some more funky tunes! There's just one thing to mention : Early 2003 he got in contact with fresh & very talented producer Qbit ,through a fellow dj & friend Tweed. They decided to do some production work together wich pretty fast resulted in a first release on "Drop On Request Recordings". Their release "Public Disorder" got played all over the world including some established djs! At the moment he's focussing on his production skills, so who knows what's next.....

5 YEARS OF GAZ::MAZK
2004 is our celebration year. gaz::mazk exist 5 years. 5 years of fun, laughter, tears and sweat.
we came out of nothing, and worked our way up to a recognized collective.
Nothing has won yet, but we are proud we still rinse on, and love to do our work with all the talent we got.
The things we've achieved and the upcoming events/plans just give us a big smile towards the future.
The release of saphir & zief's smasher ashfall, the support from local crews kronik flakes, massive junglism,
guerilla,... aswell worldwide, such as redzone (netherlands) downunder (australia),forms & bassground (netherlands),
rewindradio(usa),... to name just our closest mates who gave us the strenght to carry on.
We met many new friends, colleagues and... let us call them fans...
We've seen hate, but we've seen many people go crazy on our shows.
People started to spin because of us, people discovered drum 'n bass, just as we did from others.
isn't that beautiful? All this makes us stronger and sharpens our spirit. we owe you big time THANX!
Many bookings have come our way, some where smashing and sometimes we just sucked donkey balls.
we're just humans, no machines. We've seen nice places packed with junglist,
but often just stood in front of our girlfriends and friends in an empty room. you can't predict such things but we
played with the same enthusiasm. that's what gaz::mazk is all about, doing the stuff we like with dignity and pride!

how its begone...well ive heard a cd (roni size) and directly i was into the whole thing of dnb,
so i was lookin for some more shizzle...lookin' files up in breakbeat.co.uk and so on
i couldn't hold back an started saving up money for some equipment
luckely thear were peeps around me that liked it to, i'm into it 4 like one good year now.
drum and bass iz my passion and my life...(that says enouph)&
like the liquid things alsaw, but Im more into the dark shit.
&we had the idea to start up a kru and so we did&
so this isn't the last thing youve heard from us!

my whole life is allready based on music.
my love for techno started 5 years ago ,
between the periode between then and present . . . I wanted 2 do something with the music!
I started 2 turn @ local party's , b-day party's , etc . . .
But the year 2003 I had the luck on my side I met some very interesting people like cyrix , moddi , bc , xplovision
I also wanted 2 produce some techno : so I started 2 make some !some people call it :"schranzy pounding techno" ,
bc said there was a bit of an acid influence in it . . .
I also experimented with some hip hop & drum'n'bass hip hop especially 4 mc prime8 . . .
drum'n'bass especially 4 myself because I like the style of music 2.
@ the end of 2003 i started 2 realise that drum and bass has become my big passion so i went 2 the party's and stuff.
also here i've met some intresting people like Qbit , C-creth , noisy volpex aKa xplovision , etc . . .
so i started 2 collect some vinyls.
i've also started some producial shizzle with C-creth our first track : 10tacle vs C-creth - concentration.
we do our best but we know that we have 2 walk a long road . . .
now @ the moment i spin the decks with chronical
