Please check out my new track 'Jungle Snipa - Kill 'em With The Bassline (short Demo)' and post your comments here!
ahhhh, i really was really fighting the urge to drop a little preview of this, but i couldn't help myself. sorry i had to make it so short, but really don't want to give away too much yet, but so far, this is the main part thats finished. still got other things i'm working on. eq'ing is still bad. haven't sorted that out yet.
this is my next attempt at aiming for a bassline driven track, seeing as how my last track fell short in that dept. so i wanted something dark, hard, and full of bass. so, here's what i've got.
Dark stuff mate! Phat bassline as well.
The only thing I would do, is give your snare a bit more high end.
Imo it sounds a bit muffled, but I really like it
thanks everyone for the listens so far. it's still got a ways to go i think yet. i know it still has some muffly issues but i'll get that sorted. i think it was just my encoding cuz the original file sounds a lot more clear.
nice tune. i dig the intro. Drop is heavy sounds good man perhaps some more could be going on with the bass and some extra drum fills would be dope to just help the aggression of the tune flow along. over all man nice work sound like this tune will be big when it is done. snare could be a bit louder aswell like with more snap to it. i like how it kinda feels gangsta you should add more elements to get that feel i say that would be very nice.

sick track moxygen! thanks for pointing that to me. think i might try that for future tracks. this tracks actually already finished but i'll see maybe for my next one trying stuff like that. i guess i could have done something a little more interesting with the beats. but guess live and learn. thanks for all your feedback!
Really good tune. Nice intro, in a very dub style, misterious and dark. The rythm is a little repetitive and I think it would be better in a faster tempo. That's a short demo, so I'd like to hear the whole tune to give a more accurate opinion. Maybe a second part joined by a bridge could improve it. And after that, back to the first part again.
I'd like to know how was it maked. Only samples?
The FX are very well used, nice delays and good reverberation.

Very good feedback, at the end.
thanks kram for your feedback. to answer your question about the track being only samples, it's yes and no. the whole track was done in FL studio. the main bassline was one i made using pro-53, then exported out as a WAV, modified in soundforge, then brought back in and modified a little more with FL plugins. so the bassline is not a snipped sample from somewhere. the bass stabs were done using 808 kick drums, with a sub layer and high passed distorted layer, so there's actually 2 different bass kick layers. the drums are actually like 3 different breaks layered and some extra snares layered in, sliced up in FL and then reprogrammed from what they were originally like. percussions were programmed with one shots, like bongos and cymbals.
some sounds were samples that i actually did some looping, pitch bending and FX on to make them different. so it's kinda like a little bit of everything to get the result i wanted. i'm usually one that prefers to program all my breaks from scratch, or if I use a a break already made, I like to cut it up and reprogram it and layer it to make it something new.
the tempo was a toss up for me. i tried from 170-175 and it just didn't flow right for me. it took me a few days just to feel out the tempo alone. so i ended up taking it down to 165 which felt pretty natural, but that was just me.
the rest is pretty obvious with me doing my own vocals and whatnot. hope that answered your questions.
