I just recently got Cubase SX and was wondering if anyone hear has some suggestions on what to get to help me along with it? I firgured out some stuff but not a whole lot. Need some help. Anyone have some suggestions?

I have firgured out how to get the plugins up and how to use them and stuff and how to effect stuff. As far as the arrangement and making drums and more less the rest of the program i havent firgured out. I would like to know were to get the manual, but for free. I mean hey I'm a kid with no money.

if you have adobe acrobat, the manual is in pdf format in the 'help' section at the top (at least it is in sx 1...)

If you would have bought the program, you would have the manual Wink

Basics: make a midi track, draw a block with the pen tool (a pattern if you wanna cal it that) and double click it. Now you go to the score editor, where you can draw notes the way you drew the pattern...

That's it basically... Quite straight forward, no?

Try to find a place where u can download the "cubase_SX_power_eBook" A 9 MB ebook with everything u will ever need to know about cubase sx/sx2 and much more. Wink

get urself behind your computer for two days straight and tell urself u have to know this program by heart two days later

that's how i figured most of the basics out

now i'm in love with the program Big Grin
