SLIN
Slin's passion is music. He fell in love with drum & bass in December 2003. At first he was fond of dark sounds but in summer 2004 he heard the sounds of nuskool ragga jungle, and that was the style that motivated him to start spinning recs himself. Nuskool r-j got him more into the oldskool sounds as well, since they have a lot in common. He is part of a DJ's/producers crew called Siege (C:GE). Slin got interested in turntablism (manipulating sounds with turntables) in the summer of 2006. Dubstep caught his ear in 2006 and he started playing it himself in 2007. Siege Crew started up the Estonian dubstep community www.dubstep.ee in August 2007 to help develop the dubstep scene in Estonia and the community has been growing ever since. The crew started up the "DubShack" event series in September 2007 and brought Tes La Rok, Rusko, Kromestar, Chef and ConQuest to the Estonian massive. The collab event with SectorDub featured Loefah and Braiden as well. Slin has had a hand in organizing the SUBFARE events. The SUBFARE crew (Sam Serious, Espirit, Slin) have brought Distinction, Kutz, Silkie, Truth, Goth Trad and Razor Rekta to the Estonian bassheads so far.
