Hey guys.
I'm looking for a new interface as I'm getting funds together for an awesome new 64bit rig...

Requirements:

    Super fast Round Trip Latency (RTL)
    Not firewire.
    £300 GBP or under
    Needs to be able drive Monitors (when i get some)
    Needs decent headphone output.
    Stable drivers.


Been drooling over a few choices.. which are currently like this:

Focusrite Saffire 6 USB (USB 1.0) - £140 - the cheapest choice, but not very low RTL.

RME HDSP 9632 (PCi) - the Hammerfall tech sounds really slick!- Zero CPU load! - £290!! ouch -but- super low RTL we're talking single digits using the RME drivers!! It's an old card now, but still awesome...

I'm not dead set on any yet- so suggest away for workable alternatives.

There are cheaper cards out there that do the job.

google tells me conflicting reports on other cards for much less money..


The Audio guys at work all rate, and use the RME's with great success.
However they dont pay for the cards. The Company does.
They all use the much more expensive variants too..

So back in the real world
