wow, i must be living under a rock, because up until this very moment, i have had no idea what the hell drumstep is. so while listening to this track i was scouring the net for info on what drumstep is supposed to be so i at least had a clue what i was listening to.
well, i have to say this is a pretty interesting sound. still short as it's preview so won't say much i nthe ways of structure and length. but this is pretty cool sounding. interesting usage of sounds. beats sound almost a little too FL stock though, namely the bass drum, but the rest of the sounds and whatnot sound not pretty good..
you know i was actually kinda thinking it has almost like a hiphop feel to it in the ways of the beat. but a little on the faster side.
all in all, it's definitely different. is this drumstep a more recent subgenre of drum n bass or has it been around for a while? i must be educated.
good playing around though, and go ahead and finish it out, i'm curious to hear the full take of it now.

It's basically a dubstep rhythm at DnB speed. Probably some producers that got scared about their sales and wanted to be on the dubsteptrain too.
The style I focused on has an own twist to it because some people just make a dubstep tune and then speed it up to 174 then leave out some of the fillers because it gets too full otherwise.
Since the beginning of DnB there has been halfstep (which I don't like as a breakdown in a dnb tune), this is just full tunes in halfstep.

very other worldly synths and evil bass
great sounds - the echoeyness kinda reminds me of portishead or soundtrack music in some ways.
this interests me a lot more than just standard dubstep and blasts of drumbreaks comin in keep juicing things up!
the sort of tune i'd listen to for a change - i like it!

Dark! Not sure if this is 'Drumstep' but likin it (I hate all these sub-genres! lol). Off beat drums are sounding cool tho. If it was me I'd take some of the hats away, with a more minimal sound not sure if you've heard weatherman by digital, but more on that vibe - that's just me tho :S. An innovative track

Signature BD badness right here, loving the vibes.
The drum patterns need some adjusting; a more minimal approach should work nicely here.
Great work so far with everything else

Not really my style
, but really looooving the sub, nice work. Lots of variation too. Not really feeling the drums though. They seem a bit messy to me. Intro is lovely, overall very good work

Wow, great beat BD, I love it. I love the atmo, you made a wonderful hybrid out of dubstep and jungle, and I fucking love it. The snare can be tad louder.
The basses are phenomenal. You did a great job, mixing is done well.
