I think because the limit of my music program, It's hard to add that true feel to what i'm really wanting to produce. As a garageband user I do my best to use what's given me. I'm not totally sold on your kick to be honest, might need a bit more low end. Love the piano esp. w/ the delay. Sub sounds good. I like the change up around 2:30 & again at 3:15 - that's an awesome little breakbeat style bridge. Overall, like the mood, keys are nice, might need some mixing help tho, the keys are a little loud relative to everything else so it gets a little noisy from time to time. Yeah the kick was a bit too plain but it does sound different from the project file to the mp3 which is weird haha. I'm re-editing the track with all the feedback i've gotten so far and hopefully it all comes together a bit better. I'm actually working on it at the moment but i'm a bit stuck. I may just wait until I upgrade my laptop and upgrade my program to Logic. Also, i'm getting an Akai MPK49 so that will make it easier for me to come up with more melody/synth ideas 09-09-2010 18:30 Impact Wicked Producer Registration Date: 29-08-2010 Posts: 439 Helpfulness rating:  liked the rain/thunder fx in the intro.. keys could maybe have greater image? as soon as the drums start, the verb kicks in.. maybe apply that to the keys at the start. Like the bass- rollin! drums themselves sound a bit light and fluffy in the mix... snare hasnt got much bite and the kick doesnt emit enough punch (imo!) breakdown @ 3min is different.. the keys riff gets repetitive a bit seeing as you used it in the phrase before the breakdown and it just loops. love the extra synth layer at 4:10 (would have liked a bit of this in the breakdown) overall mate- pretty tasty! I'm taking all of your tips and actually re-working this tune. So far so good. Update: Kick has a more punch to it and a bit more low end to it.
