Please check out my new track 'The Flood' and post your comments here!

I'm quite happy with the result. Ofcourse there are some possible changes left to make and that's why drumnbass.be is here to help me find them :p

Enjoy!

there are some elements i like, the pad synth is nice and there are some good synth progressions, but for some reason the whole thing seems a little stiff to me, it needs to flow a little more and not sound as robotic, id put some very minor delays on things like hats, and maybe even that piano. I think there is a lot of potential, it just needs to losen up a little bit on the percussive side.

Thanks for the review mate!
I did what you said with the hats. Just added a tiny delay which you don't even notice and there's a massive improvement in sound!

Thx

hey simon
nice mix and some nice sounds in this one. i especially like the water sample.. really nice... There are some pan problems with the break - it's very robotic. for a track with a few organic sounds (water / cicadas? / thunder etc); I would try at least layering a sampled break (albeit with some subtlety) over the drums you have at the moment.

The strings are quite nice and the harmonics are good too...

you do need to work a bit on your panning / spread of some of the sounds too, I think.

this is your best track yet in terms of production quality, and originality.

good work. just work on the drums a bit Smile keep at it!

Regards

I like the deepness of the track it has a epic vibe to it, but like everyone else has said work on the drums cause they do have a very robotic,no umph in your kick and no warmth in your snare sounds bland. Im not fond of the gated/panned sub? it might be too wide dunno, whatever you have going on effects the whole track and is very disorienting... structure there, just work on the drums and the bass more seems like you have a knack for melodys soo, but nice work over all keep it up holms
