jkaos1000(a member from looperman.com) sent me a song file and I spent all day working on this. It is a dark neurofunk track. I mastered it with T-Racks.
long intro, but it does work. one of your better tracks mate, has a good structure to it, like the first drop, although overall i think a few variations are needed to keep the interest going. good work tho
Very mellow and minimalisic intro here. Diddnt keep my attention as it needs a few more elements. Piano could use some more effecting like some automated filters or EQ. Nice tuned drums/congos and climax rising sound. Kick is VERY punchy and fat and the whole melodic scheme is interesting. Get a lead in there and some effected our dissonant strings! Gets a little boring, more drum programming and one more rhythmic element would do it good. Pretty tight and fat and really catchy and would be even more so with a lead.
the intro on this one's really long and quite boring. i'm not a big fan of the sound the song starts with and the whole intro lacks of "ambient"...some fx, echoed stuff and reverb would improve it for me..
i like what happens in the drop...it's almost like if the synth turns into the vocal sample..really well done!!!
the drum part is nice but lacks in variations and the snare is a bit flat, without body..i like the bongo style drums and the hi end in general.
the synth has some great automation on the filter and i quite dig the sound..
the whole track however is just to linear and empty...some fx here and there, some variations in the drums and synth would certainly be an improvement for me!
i like the way it's mastered..sound really good to me!
I like the overall beat and melody of the song and how you incorporated everything to have a really grungy but clean sound.
The only thing that I didnt think fit well, and im sorry to say, were the bongos. From my experiences with drum n bass bongos/congos are usually applied to a more liquid feel but i may be wrong and this is "your" track so you do what you want with it. It didn't bother me at all though because it sounds very clean.
Also, your shuffle or breakbeat layer could use more ghost notes on the snare but that's just my opinion. I enjoyed it very much though. Keep up the good work! All I got to say is you're track sounds better than what I can put together at the moment.
