Please check out my new track 'Sunlight' and post your comments here!

I got the idea of making a VIP version of Leafs because I quite like the piano phrases but the drums suck.
I started working on it but found myself keeping only the piano part and cutting or renewing everything else so this is called Sunlight and not leafs VIP because it isn't to be called Leafs anymore Smile

This is as good as finished just some finishing touches which I hope you could help me with.

Enjoy

Instrument in the drop is off tone from piano.
Drums could do with some variation.

ez m8,
nice intro here, piano makes me smile Smile .
battle drones right again m8 Frown
this duz require beat edits(just to get them to roll a bit more),
and a few ghost hits wouldnt go a miss either sir.
im not a lover of the big splashy snares unfortunately m8,
id cut a bit of sustain out of the snare, lose the ish ish'ness of them.
theres also a bass arp which im not really feeling soz m8.
sub seems a little distant too.l
a bit more work needed please sir.
(hope i wasnt to hard on yah m8e).

Ok thx. Yeah, I know my drums have to improve. You should listen to my first song Leafs and check out how crappy those drums were :p
I'm just not a pro in putting variation into a drumline.
I EQed the snare some more and sounding better right now imo
ghost edits: the only thing I changed is add some tom hits from time to time. it's changed but i'm not quite convinced if it's for better or for worse.
Can you give me an emailadress where I can send the new version to?

i like the piano at 1:12, shame it lasts for a few seconds. not feelin the trancy synth after, it doesnt fit the tune mate. i think you have something here ideas wise. as for your drums, try spending a day or two working solely on a good solid drum template, with lots of variation. you dont have to start from scratch every time you make a new tune Smile

the piano is distorting, get some eq on the low mids!!

beat sounds pretty good maybe the hats are a tad loud!! could do with some ghost hits to add shuffle!!

i dont really like the melody tbh but thats imo!!

maybe another bass could be added above the sub, something a bit distorted or a netsky-esque wobble is what id like to hear i think!!

not a bad effort though

I wouls add some more to the drums - just a little bit of a change up in it can make a big difference also add some sort of a riser or build up to you drops and break downs...they can be very subtle and make a huge difference - really like the feel of this one though - reminds me of a tune I made. Good job!
