nice mate, very atmospheric. some good samples used and good mixdown. wasnt too keen on the drum sound at first but it does work once the track gets goin
Intro drums are a bit sparse for my tastes as I like a grand intro. FX are used perfectly and give it that dissonant vibe. Intro is a bit too long IMO and I prolly would have already changed this in my car without some more elements to keep me listening. More atmo a sample or something. Bass sound it nice and rich and the melody of the whole tune is really smooth. Could use one more mid bass sound to whip around on top of the already ever present bass. Another rhythmic element should come in after 8 measures of the drop. Great sounds, mix and arrangement so far. Also nice lead type synth. Some more work on this one would make it outstanding.
nice and relaxing one! good kick and snare samples give this track a great feel...the hi end stuff is great but maybe a lil bit in the background..it could stand out a bit more..there are some nice little fills between the bars.
like the filter automation on the synth..it also gives a great feel to the track..so do the various fx and syths..they create a nice atmosphere!
This was one of the first tracks I listened to when I first joined .be and what stuck out for me the most was your drums and how clean your breakbeat was.
The melody fit just fine and everything seemed to place itself in the right moments. It started getting a bit loud around 2:00 but that may just be me? I'm talking about the bass line and those filtered riffs.
I enjoyed listening to your track and it definitely got me grooving.
ez m8,
well i'll consider myself very honored that this was one of the 1st tracks that you listened to on dotbe.
the break was made using battledrones "build your own breaks" tutorial,
its a fruity loops tut but dont let that put you off,
its really well worth the read and can be applied to any daw.
thanks for checking it out m8e

OH I'll have to check that out! Thank for the advice.
I actually have new tracks that i've produced that I want to show off but I need to write more reviews in order to register as a producer.

"Your first 10 attempts will suck, your next 10 will be better but not good enough to use in a tune, your next 10 will have 1 good break and 9 mediocre, after about a 100 breaks you'll have about 15 good ones. This means they sound empty and you can still hear they were electronically arranged. Keep at it, you'll get the hang of it as you notice you're improving with every break you make.
I've made over 800 breaks before I felt ready to put some stuff out.
And most of all, have fun while doing this."
very true
im still learning every time i set out to make my own break.

Ahh I understand and thanks for the encouragement man. Whenever I deal with things I always get ahead of myself you know? I guess its because I have all these ideas and get too excited.
And yes... always have fun. That is key
something we all forget when we get serious with the things we do.
