hey everyone ,

since we thought that it would best to show that we're not agreeing with the ways politics are going the last few years and especially months , we decided to put our heads together to try to organise a anti hate parade .....

we will try to organise it with driving music trucks and all but that's for the second time .... the first time will be on 21st of july , there are yet a lot of people interested , we got free party venues for the after party , like hof ter lo , zuiderpershuis etc , artists , newspapers .....

So if ya wanna help out , every helping hand is welcome .... we're also trying to get as many vzws/organisations implied as possible ...

Tomorrow there will already appear an article and picture about it in Het Laatste Nieuws ( allright , not the best paper , but its only the first day , i was amazed how they found out so soon we were organising this Shocked

I don't think that that is a wise thing to do... It is anti-hate in general.. Then expressing hate for the VB seems like a bad idea to me Smile

yeah indeed , it's directed to intolerance and discrimination , but indirectly ofcourse also points out that we're not agreeing with vlaams blok points ....

indeed , that's what i think about het Blok too ... their voting audience is very loyal coz they never get the chance to screw up .....

but it's time to show the people that ,if they're not completely happy with the government , they don't have to jump to conclusions like

"hey that party we didn't try before , its the only one that i can understand , and it doesn't really matter that they're undemocratic coz they promise to make EVERYTHING better "

--> not very realistic to me .... belgians seem a bit like spoiled brats in this area .... whatever politicians try , there are always people who are'nt happy(enough) and always want more ....

it's really that kind of people that i want to reach , to show them that a beter society can also be reached by the left side if we stick our hands together and form a front .... Bigup

very strange : it didn't appear in Laatste Nieuws today like they said it would Roll Eyes

could be two things

- our story is not interesting enough (or the director of the newspaper is a right wing mofo that doesn't want to support this kind of actions Confused

- or maybe it will appear tomorrow coz today the paper was already full ( what id on't get then , is why they DO put in an atricle about horny male ducks that are fucking out of boredom Shocked

anywayz , today the negative replies also started coming in .... one of the headman of animo even said that this anti hate parade would cause MORE people to vote for het Blok Shocked

now someone explain me how this could be possible Confused

Maybe they will see us at the manifestation and think , hey they're having too much fun or something , and then start voting fort Blok ????

I really don't understand how a politcal guy can say something like that ... doesn't seem very logical ...

ok , its just maybe becoz our citizens are spoiled brats and the gouvernements can never do enough for them , and therefore they think it's a good thing to follow the easy but not workable solutions that VB offers to make it " better" ... but i stay with my opinion until someone proves me wrong Big Grin

anywayz , here's his argumentation , its just proper bullocks for 85% imo (they're just looking for people who want to join their forces imo) , there are some true points , but breaking down an action

well its actually me , my mother and her boyfriend who started this , kinda runs in the family i guess Big Grin

but we also normally have the support of Guerilla , and some other organisations aswell , but its only in its beginning fase so nothing is really permanent right now...

* edit : guerilla will prolly not participate in the action becoz they fear that they could burn their ass on it ( another literal translation Roll Eyes

) and would miss out on possible future jobs ... so no guerilla

yeah but i don't get is WHY he said it , since we tried to make it very clear that this parade will NOT be about het Blok or against it ( but with the latest elections everyone seems to link those two always to eachother !) but it is about tolenrance , non discrimination .... therefore i don't see the necesity to start blaming SOMEONE who actually tries to do something about it ... i mean , if everyone would think like him , our society would not be going forward but going backsward all tha way to the '40s once more Shocked

myeah.. it's a difficult discussion.. on the one hand somethuing should be done, on the other hand every attention is good for VB (even bad attention)

I think this problem can only be solved on higher hand.. let them cooperate and things will cool down soon; I'm quite sure about that..

anyway it's a good intiative! no doubt! but I fear that the animo guy is right.. fucked up..
