Looking for a good scratching sound. Either a way to synthesise one myself, of a good sample, preferably longer than 200ms like the ones in the sample (which is an awfull track by the way, but I like that scratch sound)
So it's not scratching in a hiphop kinda way I'm looking for...

Not shure what u mean?
If u mean like scratching on a record, just hook up a turntable to your pc and record.
terrible sample indeed.
after hearing the sample, maybe u mean somthing more like the sound from a car breaking urgently. I suppose u can find samples of that.

Something like that, but it is a synthesised sound, not a sample of a real sound...

maybe you can take a scratch part out of one of the sets of some djs who often make the scratching noise , like capital j or craze for example ...
dunno if thats possible ofcourse , but its just a suggestion

That is possible, but that's not the kind of scratch I'm looking for... It has nothing to do with scratiching plates...

there is a vst plugin called "sick synth" that is pretty diecent at making scratchy noises. you could give it a try. All the scratchy samples i have are turntable scratches though so cant help you there.

Lots of turntable scatches to find indeed, but that's not what I'm looking for...

Tried that, but it sounds extremely low-fi
And what DVD would that be Jeroen?

Got it from an old track that came out on Dance Opera (it's also on their 3rd compilation): System D - Trancefusion (no, not that System D I guess, or is it him?)
Soundquality isn't 100% since I had to filter out bleeps, a deep choir sound and claps... toolk me a while...
