Hi guys,

I am about to buy my first dj-gear next week. I have been saving money for about a year, and now the moment has finally arrived.

I love d&b music as well as trance music.

As I initially was about to buy the pioneer's cdj-400's, I saved enough money to be able to buy these.
But since the cdj 350's recently came out, I am now reconsidering on buying these.

What are you're opinions about the 350's in comparison to the 400's, As I am pretty new at this I can't really see what the biggest differences are, and what would be the best choice for me.

I hope you guys might be able to help since I would prefer mixing drum and bass.

Thanks

i think you could get a pair of secondhand 800's for the price of a new pair of 400's right now.
not only do they have more functions, it will help you once you get your first gigs, because every cd player will come across in clubs are either 1000's or the very similar 800's

the main differences i know are that the cdj 350 is a cdj but is also a midi controller and can be used with more audio formats than the cdj 400 another thing the cdj 350 has that the cdj 400 lacks is the bpm lock and shows you your bars which can make your beatmatching easier but you never know how accurate it is and you will have to learn to beatmatch anyhow, a great thing about the cdj 350 though is the jog wheel is heavier than the jog wheel of the cdj 400 which will give you more of a feel of the jog wheel from the cdj 800 or cdj 1000 which might help you when you upgrade to the cdj 800, honestly though if you can i would recommend you get the cdj 800s there amazing and what alot of djs use in clubs and such, the only thing they lack is a USB plug in, to me its no big deall but its what you think need, plus with the cdj 800 you wont have to upgrade, it will just be easier for you because you can learn on them and you will be set when you want to play a set in a club or wherever, i know some D&B djs who use them and seem to like them. hope this helps you.
