right, hear the pad that starts at 1:50? I fucking love that.
Now skip it to 3:17 where it develops...
Any ideas on what created it? This tune was made in 2000, I think, so I'm not sure if software was used.
If you can't answer that, then d'you know how I could have a go at making that sorta sound?

I think i heard a preset in NI - Absynth that has the same sound.
It sounds like it has an LP-filter on it first that releases around 3:17 and some automation kicks in with other effects.
Check Absynth or FM8 out to get those pads

on their site it says that during June (this month) that if you buy Absynth alone it costs 34,50 €, and that's 50% off.
Otherwise i recommend you getting Komplete which is a pack of all NI-plugs (like FM8, Kontakt, Reaktor, Absynth, Massive and more). It costs 499 € though!
http://www.native-instruments.com/en/spe...rt-your-summer/ check this for more offers and such
Personally i love using Kontakt for my basses (it's the same plug noisia uses for their wicked sounds).

cool, only thing is I use Reason! I have Cubase, but I only use it for sampling and I haven't a f*cking clue how to use it properly. haha

my friend use to slave reason to cubase. I'm sure there's a proper guide for that somewhere.
That means that reason will be like a plug-in to cubase and will let you record what you do in reason into cubase.
Then just load the VST's into other channels, e.g. Absynth and you're ready to go. Otherwise i recommend FL studio for easier use. Don't underestimate the power of FL studio though, there's a lot of big artists that use it, like Spor!

who the hell is Spor?
*joke*
I've used Cubase to record stuff from Reason before, but it changes the sound a little, it's annoying! Sometimes I hear pops n' clicks when I play back a sound that I've recorded..?

that might because of you soundcard or any other factor, cubase should work fine for any use. Try to solve it and explore cubase more IMO
