Closer to Dubstep or 2step than DnB i suppose.

Looking forward to hearing your merciless feedback.

This track is way cooler with all the film-samples BTW, which I have removed for the version posted here (also, the title makes sense then).

Made on Cubase SX3 with waves EQs, URS compressors, Waldord Blofeld and Elektron Monomachine.

Overall, I dig the 2step / breakbeat-y feel of this one. Very good samples / sounds, etc. But a few things i dont like - i think this needs mixing help. After the drop the drums get lost almost completely - be nice to have at least the snare pop thru a little more. I like your high-end lead sounds, but they're a bit distracting so high in the mix. The droney-bass is nice, but might sound better with some subtle wobble in there so its less droney. I much prefer the sub that rolls in around 3:15 and woulda liked to hear that more to be honest. The vocal sample is money and fits in real nicely. Also, some sounds could be widened to give everything a little room to breathe. Overall, this could be a real sick dub tune with some EQ help IMO.

Superb composition, but I don't want to be anywhere near the party venue where this gets dropped because it has so many tearing hi-end sounds that it would probably blow out my eardrums. Maybe the area above 5KHz could do with some inspection to avoid danger.
The piano in the intro is clipping BTW.
Love the drums (which are not compressed to death). Weird sounds that pile up to nice flow. Would love to hear the version with movie samples.

Thanks a bundle for the feedback guys. I've been tweaking those high-freq sounds quite a bit so it should be better now, will work some more on it before I post a finished version. I might add some reverb too, to make it more spacious.

I'll post a link to a version with the movie samples too when it's finished.

If there's anything more you think I should be aware of, let me know.

like that piano synth in intro-nice mood setter-realy recognise the melody actualy is it a sample?? goes nicely anyway wiv the bass that drops in n the hi pitchd synth sounds thruout really work well 2gevver i think(structurewise).Personally i wud wack sum fat reverb on ur snare n make it into a dubstep tune n mayb u cud do sum more diffrent switch-ups bout halfway thru 2 keep it intrestin-do like the switch at bout 3mins tho.Whole tune sounds kinda live 2 me if that makes sense-personally rekon u cud work on sound quality n eq'in/mixdown.Nice vibes on this 1 tho
