Please check out my new track 'Freedom (dubstep)' and post your comments here!
been working on this for quite a while now, my pc's crashing and my soundcards overloading from al the diffrent patterns, 45 diffrent ones. so i have to get a new pc or make my tunes in such a way I use less shit.
anyways hope you enjoy and tell me what needs to be changed etc
thanks in advance!
There are some good elements but too much going on for my liking, not a fan the brass type samples/sounds. Favourite bit is around 2"12 where the track strips back a bit, but then seems to get a bit hectic for my liking. I like the hi hat patterns going on, nice work there. Id strip it back a bit to give it more focus, but thats just me. Glad to hear someone else doing some dubstep here.
Production sounds top notch clean and strong.
Some synths sound a bit simple to me, almost like standard midi sounds. In the 1:40 area there seems to be so much going on that the bass is totally pushed away. In the little breakdown the bass slams back in which sounds a bit weird.
I would leave the bass out in the 1:40 area because so much stuff is happening in there.
In fact my only problem with this tune is that it is too stuffed at times.
__ Check my soundcloud (exclusive tracks on there)
i know the sound ur goin for in the intro and ur nearly there with it. it just needs tweaking a bit overall production on this is good quite chaotic at points tho seems ur becoming quite the dubstep producer
yeah after seeing these replies and linstening I agree that there is to much going on sometimes, will change this.
also I wanna change the intro, add more pads, but i tried this and my pc gave up lol
so ima create the intro in a diffrent project and combine the too I guess.
will work on this some more, soon to hear the finished version
I'm not exactly a dubstep fanatic, but I rather like this one.
A bit busy at times, like several others already said, but the synth work is excellent!
Definitely like the percussion on this too.
Also, to save resources on your computer, consider bouncing parts of the track.
It'll help you save some ram and cpu, and it gives you the ability to add more effects on a single track if needed.
Nice intro.
Maybe work a little more on the wobbles.
They can use a little more charicter.
Vocal sample is good.
Like the wobble more after 2:11
Nice tune brutha. Z
