I've been trying to achieve it (or atleast something similar) for 2-3 weeks now. You know, the filter-swiped/lfo bass. What I am missing is the bass sound without the filter. I know it's some kind of reece/hoover, but can't really distinguish it.

but anyways the bass sounds like a sine or something to me, its not a saw or sqaure thats what I know
doesnt really sound distorted either.

Nah, no offence taken, mate
@ Muad'Dib: I found a similar sounding bass among my older Reason Combinator patches, which I figure if tweaked could result in something like Aphrodites bass.
It's comprised of 2 Thor instances with each 3 OSCs.
First one is setup with 2 sinewaves, one octave apart, going through a lowpass filter.
Third OSC is a squarewave, also lowpassed but around 260hZ so the tone doesn't get muffled.
Second Thor is setup much like a basic reese, but with a lowpass at 700hZ so it is muffled enough not to sound like a reese.
If you tweak the filters a bit and slap on an LFO, it sounds pretty close.
No idea if it helps, but could give you a push in the right direction?
Has anyone come come up with the recipe? This is the bass sound I am trying to get, I am trying what
3rr0rc0d3 suggests; however I can't seem to get a good result!
PLZ, sb help the noob!!!
