Nice mixing, fun plates. Had to turn the bass down BIG time (like 7-8 db!) to make it playable though Big Grin

*explanation was clear... just ... me & computers (I never even heard about ftp before...)

*about the bass overload: can only say one thing.. true... It sounded ok on minidisc though... didn't know how to fix it... maybe cooledit or so...

but hey.. finally it's online (recorded it in april Roll Eyes

)

A pitty the bass is too loud and the overall volume too low but I like the plates Pleased

Some are a little bit older stuff but I like to hear those famous wanna be oldies Tongue

Do not have a lot of troubles with the bass.
You're almost never offboat .Thats good but your " overgangen" arent good .Its like you fade in and fade out .

Its hard to explain it seems like the mixes dont flow .
At the end of a tune you mix another tune in .And that time is very short , mostrly 10 seconds .You never hear whats coming in.you only hear that when you have the quiet moments .For me its not bad but its my mxing style.
I say its hard to explain , so if you dont understand it , never mind Big Grin

sorry, have to disagree on this one...
I never let plates go until the end in this mix and for the 10 secs:

kids stuff 00-04.16
kerb 2.10-6.25
outer 5.00-9.24
roll 7.48-11.32
nosher 10.03-15.15
warriors 13.36-17.55
sound boy 16.36-

which means... 2.06, 1.25, 1.36, 1.29, 1.39, 1.19mins for the first 6 mixes... I think shortest one is the one for screamer, that's about half a minute...
maybe next time the mix will be of better audio quality Wink

indeed , sometimes i had the impression a bit like dnb lovendegem explained , not used to that from you machakil , but hey , i think it could have to do a lot with the " opnamekwaliteit'

The quality isn't bad, it's just that your bass is soo loud all the rest has to be quiet in order not to clip
So check your bass volume befor starting the mix... Spectrum analyser recommended if possible...

anyway, when i record a mix i have mix with a bit less bass (which i forgot in my last one Big Grin

)
i just like lots of bass when i listen to a tune at home but it's not a good thing for the quality of your recording

didn't listen to the mix yet, but it's on the ipod so i'll come to it very soon Big Grin

But check doublecheck and recheck the settings before u actually start recording. Don't let your mixer's vu meters go all the way to the end, because then u will mostly give too much input to your soundcard. Try to keep volume between say 0 and 3db on the meter (in the beginning of the red zone on most mixers).
