Please check out my new track 'Dark' and post your comments here!
my first try for something dark.
just tell me if I'm doing good, or if i have to get back to liquid.
I will get back to liquid just wanna know if i have to finish this one
Dark liquid is the best, Intro is cool, maby some more fx s in the intro build up...maby. Sik drop. The beats sound pretty seperate from the bass though imo. get more fluid beats on the trak, bass n melods. will make up 4 the darkness. Mix ur liquid with the dark matter my friend, It works good 4 u.
I think the track flows along nicely, but for an attempt at a darker track, i think the samples are a tad weak, try some more sinister samples, i am a big fan of the darker side of dnb, hope to hear a ruffer version?
snare sounds to robotic needs more releasethe lead midi thing u use in intro/drop isnt really dark sounds a bit cheapbassline is ok quite gritty but needs to wobble a bit 4 that really neuro feel i think of be filtered correctly a c+ for effort
The lead chords are not dark at all, they sound very uplifting, almost like trance music tends to do. I would call this dreamy, but not dark.
Has potential though.
__ Check my soundcloud (exclusive tracks on there)
intro doenst really make the dark impression, but you never know with tunes these days whats coming behind the drop so noproblems there.
liking the trancey melodie acctually.
like the build up to the bass.
reese sounds nice too.
might wanna put a drop inbetween the build up and the bass.
have like a wierd sample playing and than suddenly the tune hits into dark mode, maybe ahve the trancey melodie play with a diffrent synth, one thats pitched down and dark, that would be nice
I think you should go on with this for sure
the reeces are dark, but the arpegiated type intro isnt, snare needs to be beefed up too, sounds too much like a rimshot to me. keep at it, the reece is good.
wooo! i can definitely see why your a liquid man! i'd love to hear your liquid tracks mate im sure they would be great. As for this track, im quite impressed, your using the synths in all the right places, one thing i would suggest is trying to seclude anything that has resemblence to liquid drum n bass, im sure this will help you acheive a more darker drum n bass track. Another thing that would help this acheive its potential is a big drop. maybe even changing that synth lead to an even grittier, dirtier sound on the second drop would prove helpful. Otherwise i like the track, keep it up
